Library Information & Services
The Library offers a wide array of free and fee-based services for the public.
Library Cards
Library Cards are available to every Warren, CT resident. On the back of every library card there is a unique bar code. This enables you to use your card at any library in Connecticut (Connecticard.) It also enables you to use the Web site, www.Iconn.org for book information and research through various databases.
Circulation Services
The Warren Public Library provides a wide range of materials available for checkout including books, videos, DVD's, audio books, music CDs, videos and magazines. Patrons may borrow books and audio's for a period of two (2) weeks. DVD's, videos, CDs and magazines may be borrowed for a period of one (1) week.
Books, audio books, and most library items may be renewed when there is no waiting list. Please note that new DVD's may not be renewed. You may renew items in person, by phone, or via e-mail.
Materials may be put on reserve, but we ask that they be picked up the following day the library is open.
InterLibrary Loan
You may request materials to be obtained through InterLibrary loan. A librarian will take your request directly or you can e-mail your loan request.
Books you borrow from any Connecticut library may be dropped off here and will be returned to the home library.
Computer Access
We have computers available to the public, as well as a computer for children. Wireless service is also available.
Fines
DVD's and videos are subject to a late fee of $2.00 per library day for up to three library days. After which time the patron will be charged the full value of the DVD or video.
For other materials let your conscience be your guide. However if the materials are not returned within a months time the patron will be charged the full value of the material.
Charges for items(s) that are lost or damaged:
» Cataloged material; the original cost of the material.
» Un cataloged material; $2.50 per item.
» Item(s) on loan from another library; will be charged the value set forth by the library loaning the material.
Warren Public Library Mission Statement
